Summary

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Implementation and Readiness Management BR.

Duties

  • Manages activities by setting goals, evaluating performance, assessing fund/staff needs, and recommending resources.
  • Coordinates with agency elements and provides critical security inputs for program planning and installation to support the mission.
  • Directs the branch employees in the development of program and supporting resource documentation needed to support the directorate and Security Network implementation, installation, operations, acquisition strategy, and contracting efforts.
  • Directs, assigns, and reviews work to meet production and quality standards.
  • Approves leave, recommends performance standards, and prepares ratings.
  • Focuses on mission readiness by counseling team employees and resolving grievances within authority.
  • Resolves complex technical, programmatic, and security issues to implement, re-optimize, and integrate Security networks during budget and staffing cuts.
  • Leads teams by identifying critical tasks, objectives, and schedules to secure mission success.
  • Leads contract surveillance and quality assurance for all projects involving Security Network implementation.
  • Supervises a comprehensive surveillance program ensuring all support services, milestones, and deliverables are fully met under contract.

Education

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-15 grade level. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.
