Summary
NLM seeks an expert Technical Information Specialist to lead the development and management of NLM terminology products and services (e.g., SNOMED CT, MeSH, UMLS, RxNorm). Duties
- Apply expertise in library procedures, system analysis, and bibliographic standards to solve technical processing problems, improve efficiency, and develop new techniques.
- Develop and implement modifications to operational and developmental systems with established approvals.
- Coordinate and provide training for personnel, contractors, library staff, and outside agencies on technical processing systems.
- Serve as a liaison to computer specialists and a technical resource for integrating data with other library automation projects.
- Plan and develop contract actions for automation projects, including file conversions and special maintenance activities.
