Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. Under this Accelerated-Hire announcement, all applicants who meet the minimum requirements at the grade level for which they apply will be forwarded to the Selecting Official for consideration. This authority authorizes the appointment of Excepted Service T5 NG Employees and T32 Technicians without the requirement to utilize competitive procedures.
Applicants must meet all qualification standards to be considered for the position.
Duties
- SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The purpose of this position is to serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) under the direct supervision of the Program Manager of Wing Advanced Programs.
- Incumbent is responsible for managing a total infrastructure protection environment; system security certification and accreditation requirements and processes; as well as Federal information systems protocols.
- ISSM will supervise Information System Security Officers(ISSOs) and System Administrators supporting cybersecurity requirements within Wing SAP facilities.
- Serves as the principal advisor to the Wing Commander and Director of Advanced Programs on the latest industry and technological projections as they pertain to SAP Cyber Security/Information Security for the network enclave infrastructure.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure acquisition, development, and retention of a professional, highly capable SAP cybersecurity workforce to accomplish assigned missions.
- Establishes performance standards and evaluates employee performance.

Education
j. Training/Certification requirements. All applicants for a position with designated developmental training requirements must be informed in advance that failure to complete the required certifications/course(s) will be cause for removal from the position. An example of required developmental training is proponent course(s) at the National Guard Professional Education Center.
The HRO will require the applicant to submit a written statement to the effect that they understand they must either satisfactorily complete the appropriate certification/course(s) or corrective action will be taken. k.
Medical/physical requirements IAW DoDI 6055.05-M, paragraph C1.3.3.1, all Federal Wage System (FWS) and identified General Schedule (GS) selectees, prior to appointment, will meet any medical standards or physical requirements designated for the position. l.
