Summary

About the Position: The Military Entrance Processing Station plays a vital role in maintaining the nation’s military might by ensuring that each new member of the Armed Forces: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force & Coast Guard; meets the high mental, moral & medical standards required by the DoD & the military services. Every MEPS represents state of the art in testing, examining & processing applicants for enlistment into the Armed Forces. This will be a permanent position.

Duties

As a Supervisory Human Resources Assistant (Military/Office Automation), you will:
Direct administrative personnel involved in the processing of military service applicants.
Provide training on various topics to stakeholders and subordinate staff.
Maintain applicant records to ensure the safekeeping of personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI).
Distribute mission focused work assignments to subordinate staff to maintain efficient operations
Evaluate employee performance to support employee development and accountability
Conduct inspections to ensure applicant processing accuracy, file compliance, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Coordinate between multiple sections to ensure processing is completed within standards.
Make recommendations on initiatives to improve military processing functions
