Summary
This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF), in Manhattan, KS. The position is located in the Security unit and the incumbent is responsible for providing technical support to a variety of administrative operational security activities.
Duties
- Serves as a first point-of-contact for the Visitor Center, providing information, directing calls and visitors to the appropriate personnel/location, and using tact, courtesy, alertness, and good judgment.
- Greet and process NBAF visitors and/or new employees using the proper procedures and system.
- Coordinate with the Visitor Center Administrator, sponsor, and guard force to process visit requests and ensure only pre-approved and authorized personnel are permitted onsite.
- Work closely with the Visitor Center Administrator with the badging system for NBAF employees and visitors.
- Maintain the automated database that includes information concerning the accountability, control and destruction of badges.
- Visitor Center administrative tasks, including filing and maintaining accurate visitor and access-control records
Requirements
