Duties

As an PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT), GS-1152-9, you will:

  • Monitors and updates real-time fleet health and status codes (FMC/PMC/NMC) using automated systems like IMDS or G081.
  • Serves as the primary dispatch hub for the flightline, coordinating specialists, fuel, munitions, and support equipment.
  • Executes emergency response protocols and checklists via the “Crash Phone” network for ground or inflight emergencies.
  • Tracks and documents flying schedule deviations, logging exact reasons for air aborts, ground aborts, and late takeoffs.
  • Deconflicts flightline resource constraints by coordinating directly with Production Superintendents and Expediters.

Requirements

  • Military Requirements Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state’s National Guard.
