Summary

The Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP), Provider Clinical Educator will be integral part of Health Informatics team and will report directly to Chief Health Informatics Officer. As part of Clinical Educator, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner will provide CPRS training to new providers and also existing providers.

Incumbent will be responsible for assisting and leading training during transition to new EHRM in future for Salisbury VA Health Care System.

Duties

Incumbent will work closely with CACs in Health Informatics in different VISTA packages including Order Package, TIU Package, Consult Package Engages actively in provider Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) training which includes face to face, hands on CPRS training, training on TEAMS when needed and follow up and shadowing with new providers when needed to address any CPRS related questions Works collaboratively with Clinical Application Coordinator (CAC) supervisor and Clinical Informatics Team to manage order package, consult package, TIU documents, and other health informatics work as assigned Manages Clinical Health Informatics related tickets Assists with orientation of new provider related to CPRS, enter appropriate OI&T ticket as needed to get all needed access for new provider Participates in Health Informatics Council Provide patient care as 0.2 time (1 day a week) in assigned area Responsible for project management related to major changes in clinical support systems related to clinical informatics Works collaboratively with OI & T and Bio Med to solve system related issues for CPRS/Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) Participates actively in new EHRM implementation and training process Serves as the Lead for CPRS/EHRM provider education for facility Travel to all care sites within Salisbury VA Health Care System as needed related to provider CPRS training Provide patient care as 0.2 FTE time (1 day a week) in assigned area Assist with transition to new EHRM related to provider education across Salisbury VA Health Care System May serve, as assigned, as a clinical preceptor for Doctor of Pharmacy students and PharmD residents while maintaining a sustained record of contribution and commitment in Pharmacy as defined by American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Preferred Experience: Leadership experience for a minimum of 3 years in VA is preferred.
