Summary

This position is located at Fort Bragg Middle School & Teen Center. MWR CYS Employee Childcare Fee Discounts Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours per week). First Child: 100% childcare fee discount Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid

Duties

  • Ensures the safety and well-being of children, youth and adults being transported to and from the program and on field trips.
  • Knowledge of how to properly load and unload passengers.
  • Skill in selecting the shortest and safest route.
  • Ensures children and youth know how to safely evacuate the bus.
  • Practices bus evacuation following prescribed procedures with children and youth on a monthly basis.
  • Knowledge of height, weight, width, and length of passenger shuttle vans, and cargo vans in order to judge overhead and side clearances, turning radius and braking distance.
  • Work requires walking, lifting and carrying items weighing 40 pounds or less, driving, bending and stooping.
  • Drives outside in all kinds of weather in a controlled traffic environment throughout a military installation.
  • Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of bus (e.g., oil change) transporting the bus to and from maintenance and/or repair facilities.
