Summary

You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Metrology Engineering Section (Code 137.3) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

  • You will utilize ingenuity and creative thinking in devising new ways to accomplish objectives.
  • You will interface with the customer to resolve unique operational deficiencies and advise the customer on proper equipment selection and operation.
  • You will provide assistance to the engineers in the laboratory in determining which references to use in cases where specified equipment documentation is unclear or incomplete.
  • You will perform mathematical computations necessary to produce the test data.
  • You will prepare the laboratory reports and associated graphs and charts.
