Summary
This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Air Force Services Center at Port San Antonio, TX. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
Duties
- The incumbent directs the architectural design and strategic enhancement of enterprise financial applications, leading multidisciplinary project teams to analyze, design, and implement novel solutions for the most complex business challenges.
- This includes making authoritative decisions on technical approaches in situations involving major uncertainties and conflicting requirements.
- The incumbent serves as the primary technical authority and liaison to senior management, external auditors, and vendors, representing the organization in formal settings to negotiate technical requirements, resolve significant conflicts, and influence the strategic direction of vendor product roadmaps to better meet Air Force needs.
- The incumbent pioneers and establishes new standards, methods, and techniques for financial systems analysis and integration.
- Where existing guidelines are inadequate, the incumbent develops and refines enterprise-level best practices for system interoperability, data integrity, and business process automation, ensuring these new standards are implemented across the organization.
- The incumbent develops and executes complex data analysis and business intelligence strategies, conceiving and directing the creation of sophisticated analytics tools and dashboards that provide critical insights into enterprise-wide financial health, enabling senior leadership to make strategic decisions.
- The incumbent exercises broad technical oversight for the security, stability, and continuous improvement of the financial systems architecture, identifying and mitigating systemic risks, providing expert consultation on unprecedented technical issues, and ensuring the long-term viability and effectiveness of the enterprise systems.
- The incumbent provides authoritative guidance and mentorship to other IT specialists, developing training materials and leading technical instruction on advanced system functionalities and newly established enterprise standards.

Education
