Duties
- The Clinical Informatics & Medical Technology (CLIMET) Division, under the Associate Chief of Staff.
- Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process, influences outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team, and executes position responsibilities that demonstrates leadership, learning from experience, and systematically evaluates current practice.
- Demonstrates proficiency of the following core informatics functions to include content management, application support, health information technology system optimization, enterprise data management, business architecture management, partnership management, requirements management, and change management.
- Some of the Informaticists duties include but are not limited to: Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including other program and service leaders at the facility/practice setting and network.
- Work closely to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of Veteran Affairs (VA) staff nationwide.
- Assist in directing the provision of education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.
- Delivers self-directed, professional nursing practice using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) for complex patients based on conscious and deliberate planning.
- Provides and directs others in Veteran/patient driven care by optimizing the patient experience, satisfaction, and/or safety for a team of patients.
- Shares knowledge and learning opportunities that enhance current nursing practice and self-evaluation for self and others on the team.

Requirements
