Duties

  • Attache-Mexico, you will: Represent, monitor and coordinate the policy, program, and research interests of HHS and, as necessary and appropriate, coordinates HHS activities with those of other USG agencies engaged in health, health-related and social policy activities, including, but not limited to, the U.S.
  • Departments of State (DOS), Defense (DoD), Agriculture (USDA), and Commerce (DOC); the U.S.
  • Agency for International Development (USAID); the U.S.
  • Trade Representative's Office (USTR); the U.S.
  • Trade and Development Agency (USTDA); and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
  • Represent HHS and USG interests in-country in broad, multilateral efforts such the
  • Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and
  • Malaria; the programs of the
  • Fund (UNICEF); and serves as a liaison to and coordinates the activities of other donor countries in public health, or health and social services issues; and works to promote, protect and maximize HHS investments, particularly those of HHS OPDIVS.
  • Develop and maintain strong linkages with the scientific community of the host country, particularly with scientists who are involved in cooperative activities with U.S.
  • Federal agencies, U.S. academic institutions and the U.S. biomedical and behavioral research community.
