Firefighter (Paramedic)

Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is included under the provisions of Special Retirement Coverage (SRC) and may have both a maximum entry age and a mandatory retirement date. Duties

• Provide all advanced life support measures to include medication administration, IV's, cardiac defibrillator, advanced airway placement, intubation.
• As a member of a team respond to fire emergencies in an industrial setting.
• Serve as a drier-operator of major motorized firefighting equipment.
• Perform as a member of HAZMAT team controlling spills that are hazardous and often times unknown.
• Perform search and rescue operations.
