Summary

About the Position: Incumbent will serve as the Deputy G8 for the U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS). The Incumbent will assist the G8 in the management execution of the full spectrum of responsibilities and programs that fall within G8 area of responsibility.

Duties

  • Direct the execution of all fiscal responsibilities to include accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Supervise the command’s budget execution, civilian payroll, fiscal policy, and travel programs.
  • Develop command-wide financial policies and guidance to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee internal control programs to ensure efficient and effective use of government resources.
  • Provide authoritative advice to leadership on financial management policies and regulations.
  • Manage a large civilian workforce to meet organizational objectives and mission requirements.
  • Represent the command in meetings with DoD and other external agencies to coordinate financial matters.
  • Assess directorate operations to ensure accomplishment of missions and adherence to performance standards.
