Summary
The Financial Manager, also known as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Louis A. Duties
- ***This is a Temporary Promotion/Detail Not-To-Exceed (NTE) 120 Days, with the option to extend up to 12 months and/or be made permanent without further competition.
- Supervisory Approval is Required*** Major duties and responsibilities will include: Directs and promotes the use of advance techniques in budgeting, management, finance, accounting and manpower management.
- Assists operating programs in the development of budgets and advises organizations on liquidation and self-sufficiency efforts.
- Provides expert advice and recommendations for innovative approaches and solutions of facility financial operations.
- Prepares or edit narrative justifications and projected funding needs and assure that data in requests is formally and accurately documented in a wide variety of unrelated forms.
- Advises and makes recommendations on financial policies, procedures and other fiscal matters.
- Produce comprehensive analysis of program accomplishments in financial terms to assist management in planning and decision making.
- Advises on the status of programs, particularly regarding program objectives, progress and accomplishments and probable effects of alternative actions.
- Analyze and evaluate continual changes in program plans and funding and their effect on financial and budget program milestones.
- Analyze financial and budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for financial and/ or budgetary actions.
- Oversees the design of a complete accounting systems for the Medical Center.
- Approves the transfer of funds between program activities.
- Administers an accounting system designed to track, reconcile and report on agency administered programs and/or appropriations for which the agency has legislative oversight responsibility; Work Schedule: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Virtual: This is a virtual position.
