Summary

This position is located at Fort Gordon – Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation – Financial Management Division. . Duties

  • Provides technical financial, budget and/or accounting support by accumulating, processing, compilation and consolidation of financial data in support of IMWRF analysts.
  • Assists with the conduct of review and analysis of operating programs, ensuring conformance with policy and resource utilization; participates in surprise cash count visits and sampling of methods and procedures.
  • Identifies problems with document flow, e.g. daily activity reports, petty cash, transfer between accounts, etc.
  • Assists in the analysis/evaluation of findings, determining corrective or improvement actions needed.
  • Provides assistance with formal reports for submission to Division Chiefs, recommending changes to procedures and practices covering all functional areas, identifying requirements for additional training and/or changes in resource utilization.
  • Assists higher graded employees with analysis of incoming reports.
  • Assists Information Management Specialists with defining and correcting problems or identifying needs of user representatives who work with various NAF Information Management Systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
