Summary
This position in in the Financial Payroll Services (FPS) within the Financial Services Center (FSC) in Austin Texas. Incumbent services as an advisor and technical expert on payroll process, financial systems and operations, customer service concepts, and budgeting.
Duties

- Major Duties: Interprets and applies to laws, regulations, decisions, rulings and policies to accounting systems and procedures to ensure conformity and proper application.
- Establishes and conducts a methodology to address out of balances or differences in general ledger accounts and tables in the accounting system.
- Research and analyze unknown issues by reviewing policies, similar situations, and providing suggested resolutions based on expert knowledge of US standard general ledgers, federal accounting, VA's accounting system and other applications in use.
