Duties
- Assist on Trauma/Resuscitation teams as either a recorder or right/left side medic. Manage airway obstructions and respiratory arrest using maneuvers and adjuncts such as nasopharyngeal airways, oropharyngeal airways, suction, or bag valve masks.
- Treat soft tissue wounds, applies bandages, performs wound irrigation, and assist with skin closures. Obtain blook, blood cultures, urine, and other specimens via phlebotomy, peripherial IV insertion, and urinary catheterization.
- Perform necessary tests including vial signs, EKG’s, spirometry, blood glucose and vision tests. Provide routine medical care and perform delegated clinical procedures under supervision of licensed providers.
- Screen adult and pediatric patients to obtain and review medical histories and update medical records. Recognize, stabilize, and treat a wide variety of medical emergencies.
