This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoW Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as the Reliability Compliance Program Manager and technical authority for the district and provide program management for ensuring that the district power generation facilities are in compliance with mandatory reliability standards governing the bulk electric system.
Duties
- Serves as District Point of Contact (POC) and technical authority for reliability compliance matters with higher headquarters, other activity chiefs, regulatory agencies and power marketing agencies.
- Represents the District at meetings and conferences concerning reliability compliance and related technical matters.
- Analyzes and stays informed on emerging cyber security threads to critical infrastructure systems, which includes participation in classified and unclassified briefings.
- Resolves difficult and controversial technical problems for all aspects of the reliability compliance program.
- Prepares and staffs regulations, policy documents, memoranda of instructions, circulars, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc., pertaining to the reliability compliance program.
