Summary
Cyber Threat Analysts assess foreign cyber intentions and capabilities to support U.S. national security interests.
Duties
- As a Cyber Threat Analyst at CIA, you will analyze foreign cyber intentions and capabilities to support U.S. national security interests.
- You will identify, monitor, and counter threats against US information systems and critical infrastructure.
- You will produce tactical and strategic written assessments and brief U.S. policymakers.
- You will have opportunities for foreign and domestic travel and language study.
- You will receive tradecraft and leadership training while increasing your substantive expertise through academic study, collaboration with Intelligence Community peers, and professional conferences.
- You may also participate in broadening assignments within the Agency and across the U.S. Government.
Education
A mix of international and technical studies, to include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the following fields: International Relations, Foreign Affairs, or Security Studies Cyber Security Computer Science Digital Forensics Telecommunications Information Assurances At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale is preferred
