Duties
- Functions as the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Clinician within the Bureau of Prisons(BOP) federal correctional facility, in the Psychology Services Department.
- Responsible for providing substance use treatment for those participating in the MAT in compliance with BOP policy and the First Step Act.
- Provides direct services, individual therapy, and/or group counseling.
- Treatment focuses on the cognitive behavioral therapy model of drug abuse treatment.
- Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
