This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Duties
- The Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (APRN) is a member of the Anesthesia Service who works under the direction of the APS Section Chief.
- The APRN collaborates with members of the Acute Pain Service (APS) team to evaluate, manage, and support patients with acute and acute on-chronic pain conditions.
- Duties for the position may include but are not limited to: Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic health conditions, with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention using evidence-based practice.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans to achieve optimal population health and disease management.
- Demonstrates leadership and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.
- Orders and interprets laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and other relevant evaluations.
- Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
- Initiates referrals and provides consultative services to specialty providers as needed.
- Providing outpatient management of postoperative pain medications, including phone calls and clinic visits.
- Working closely with APS and CPS team members.

Requirements
