Summary
This position serves as a Law Clerk (Labor) (Board Law Clerk) to a Member of the National Labor Relations Board. The Board is responsible for the adjudication of unfair labor practice cases and representation cases arising under the provisions of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935, as amended.
Duties
- As a Law Clerk (Trainee) (Board Law Clerk), GS-0904-11, typical work assignments in a Board Member's Office may include:
- Analyzing and recommending the disposition of cases pending on appeal before the
- Board based on exceptions filed with respect to decisions issued by Administrative Law Judges, Regional Directors, and Hearing Officers. Drafting
- Board decisions and Board
- Member opinions. Assisting Board
- Members in developing
- Board policies, regulations, and procedures. Researching statutes, decisions, opinions, legislative history and other legal authorities on the points of law involved and applying the research to the case at hand. Performing other duties as assigned.
Education
