This position is located at: Home of Heroes – Fort Polk, Louisiana. Fort Polk’s Home of Heroes delivers strong Soldier and Family support with fitness, recreation, dining, and community programs that build resilience, readiness, and connection across the installation. Driven leaders to strengthen Soldier and Family programs. Lead fitness, recreation, and community services with a focus on readiness, customer care, and team performance.
Duties
- Supervises a staff of 3-12 employees, assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis.
- Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives and rates performance.
- Must be able to support the activity by applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials and facilities.
- Executes diverse recreation programs for a wide patron base, delivering social events, tournaments, and major ethnic, patriotic, and holiday observances with varied, multi-disciplinary activities.
- Assures that proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility.
- Assists with other recreation programs in the Recreation Center as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
