Summary

As a Senior Realty Specialist (Acquisition), you will perform the full range of acquisition, assignment, and utilization work for realty projects. Location of position: GSA Public Building Services (PBS), Office of Leasing (OoL) The OoL is responsible for supporting federal agencies in accomplishing their missions by delivering leased space timely at the best value, with high-quality workplace solutions. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties

  • Acquires sites, buildings, easements and other rights; grants and administers permits/licenses in conjunction with real property acquisition.
  • Executes administration of relocation benefits under the Uniform Relocation Act.
  • Serves as a senior technical specialist for the realty programs.
  • Serves as Site Investigation Team leader or member, providing organization, planning, management and leadership of interdisciplinary teams for the purpose of investigating and selecting sites for the construction of new Federal buildings.
  • Officer with an unlimited warrant to perform the full range of acquisition, assignment, and utilization work for realty projects, national policy, national program support including but not limited to site and real property acquisition and relocation.
  • Provides guidance, assistance, and advice on current procedures and practices to internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Assists in analyzing the effect of proposed program, policy and legislative changes, as well as capital program projects.
  • Provides expert technical advice on specific tasks, furnishing written instructions, reference materials and relevant background materials to associates; maintains current knowledge and answers questions from associates on procedures, policies and directives, obtaining information from the supervisor regarding final decisions on major problems and issues that arise.
