Summary
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Civilian Personnel Records Center. The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of a team of employees engaged in providing Reference and Operations work pertaining to military and/or civilian medical and personnel records, various general purpose and local Federal agency records, and military organizational records..
Duties
- As a Supervisory Archives Technician, you will: Supervise a subordinate staff consisting of approximately 10 to 15 archives aids and archives technicians.
- Coordinate operations of the unit.
- Assign duties, answer questions, interpret or explain policies and regulations.
- Develop and write procedures regarding unit work assignments and policies.
- Prepare, issue, and monitor routine internal instructions and procedures.
- Conduct staff meetings to convey and discuss suggestions, changes and new policies or procedures, which effect section operations.
Requirements
- The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
- One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

- Up to16 feet above the floor; work also involves considerable standing, walking, stooping, bending, stretching and lifting.
