Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties
- You will utilize skills in the practice and theory of athletic training to enhance health, wellness, performance, and primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention efforts.
- You will provide prevention, assessment, treatment and reconditioning of injuries sustained by active-duty service members related to military and sports-related injuries.
- You will provide standardized injury prevention instruction and education in collaboration with embedded athletic trainers and Command staff and provide training and education in the evaluation and emergency treatment and care of MSKI.
- You will provide injury prevention and recovery education through consultations or during public speaking engagements and provide clinical treatment for adult family members when referred by a physician.
- You will provide emergency first aid and preliminary treatment and services of injuries for installation community sports and physical fitness events and aid in preliminary diagnosis.
- You will maintain liaison with various organizations and other service providers for the development of military human performance capabilities.
- You will maintain working relationships with an interdisciplinary team who provides services related to physical, mental, spiritual, social fitness, sleep, and nutrition.
- You will recognize the severity of injury, provide treatment and perform initial examination.
Education
Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university in the amounts shown below meets the requirements for the position. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited institutions.
