Summary
The Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) and Simulation Training Coordinator will be responsible for managing the nursing process when providing and/or supervising staff education. Duties
- The RQI and Simulation Training Coordinator will lead with creativity and experience in managing complex situations.
- They will deliver expert, evidence-based education to clinical and outpatient staff, develop, promote, and deliver professional simulation education, and coordinate training in accordance with the SimLEARN Certification Program.
- Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for BLS and ALS training across departments, maintaining compliance with the RQI Program.
- Proficiency in instructional design, implementation, and application related to education and training is essential.
- The coordinator will organize, participate in, and evaluate mock codes to support emergency response training.
- They will also coordinate, plan, and implement innovative technologies to create safe learning environments.
- Evaluating current practices and formulating outcomes for patient groups and organizational processes based on evidence-based research will be a key part of the role.
- The coordinator will collaborate with leadership to identify and address educational training needs, fostering competence, critical thinking, and decision-making among staff.
- Participation in organizational committees to support educational programs and initiatives is also expected.

Requirements
- Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
