Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Program Specialist for the Employee Engagement Program at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS). The incumbent is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the Employee Engagement Program and All Employee Survey process for the CAVHCS a two-division health care system (Montgomery, AL and Tuskegee, AL) with seven outpatient clinics. This position is a direct report to the Deputy Director.
Duties
- Major Duties Planning and administration of the Employee Engagement Program and All Employee Survey process.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the Employee Experience and staff satisfaction levels by ensuring performance meet or exceed expectations and that the facility is a preferred employer of choice.
- Develops long-range facility plans, goals, objectives and milestones.
- Conduct studies based on organizational health and develop program evaluation metrics to drive growth in performance and effectiveness of the facility's journey.

- Skills with information management systems to support the Program, including database management, data analysis and reporting, and flowchart creation.
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs and Share Point.
- Develops program guidance, motivational materials and information to facilitate participation in program initiatives including fact sheets, brochures, booklets, etc., that increase communication with the target audience.
- Serves on various committees to support the organization.
- Responds to one-time or ad hoc data requests from various levels of leadership. which may be coordinated with other members of the health care system and the supervisor.
- Represents medical facility at the Network level on staff satisfaction issues.
- Conducts workshops, seminars, and other meetings with different levels of staff, etc. to explain and/or improve customer service.
- Makes on-the-spot presentations and/or conducts focus groups.
- Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

- Weekly travel is required between CAVHCS campuses located in Montgomery and Tuskegee, Alabama.
- Occasional travel to CAVHCS Community Based Outpatient Clinics located in Alabama and Georgia will be required.
- Relocation: Relocation Incentive is authorized.
- You may qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with agency policy.
