About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Resource Management at the Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms located in San Bernardino, California. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Duties

  • Install hardware, server operating systems and applications according to DOW, DON and BUMED standards.
  • Monitor system logs, security logs, and application logs.
  • Perform release management to include commercial software, standard software, beta, site license management, and new system releases.
  • Provide operating system support for file servers, printer servers, SMS, SCC<, DHCP, Storage area networks, common user applications servers and server banks.
  • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves operational problems involving the interrelationships of devices between end users and servers.
  • Installs, deploys and troubleshoots hardware and software on a multiple of diverse workstations, lap tops, hand held devices, network/standalone printers/copiers, and various operating systems.
  • Customer service support for communications systems include audio-visual equipment for video conferences, cellular telephones and analog telephones.
  • Develop user guides on application systems, information retrieval and information systems hardware and software.
