Duties

  • Perform in accordance with policies and guidelines established by the organization and supervisor.
  • Exercise independent judgment with full responsibility for professional diagnosis, treatment, referral, and disposition of patients.
  • Provide first contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents according to current standards of care, the patient centered medical home model of care, DHA policy, and relevant regulations.
  • Provide technical oversight of clinical staff (e.g. nurses, social workers, therapists, and various technicians) assigned to the medical home to enhance team-based care.
  • Teach and provide consultation to other health care providers.
