Duties
- The position is located in the Executive Office of the Director, Bureau of Prisons (BOP or Bureau), within the Federal Prison System.
- Shares in the duties and responsibilities of the Chief of Staff, providing advice and assistance to the Director and Deputy Director on a wide range of complex and sensitive issues relating to the law enforcement mission and management of the BOP.
- Responsible for making significant decisions impacting the operational activities throughout the Federal Prison System.
- Requires access to the BOP's Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
- Accordingly, a final Ts/sci clearance is required.
