Summary
You will serve as a SUPV FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFFICE-COMPTROLLER (N00FM) of NCTAMSLANT NORVA. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
Duties
You will serve as the Financial Manager and Comptroller performing a wide variety of financial managerial duties connected with the formulation, justification, presentation, execution, accounting and review of budgets.
You will serve as the Commanding Officer’s (CO) principal assistant in all areas associated with Budgeting, Finance, and Contracting Operations.
You will be responsible for preparation of the command’s budget estimates and justifications for submission to the TYCOM Comptroller office.
You will be responsible for presentations and briefings concerning the Command’s financial overview to the CO.
You will identify areas of improvement for financial plans and recommend appropriate changes.
You will ensure the success of the Navy Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Program.
You will develop and maintain a system of budgetary controls to ensure availability of funds and that proper balance exists among approved programs.
You will continually review Command financial operations for determination of the application of financial improvement process opportunities and/or other continuous improvement techniques designed to improve and ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
You will manage the preparation and submission of accounting reports required by higher authority and performance accounting using designated official accounting and accounting feeder systems.
You will review requests for funds that may impact civilian personnel assigned, and recommend action based on available funds, priorities, and/or critical needs.
You will directly manage the labor budget.
You will oversee a wide variety of contract management and acquisition duties.
You will exercise managerial authority to set a series of annual, multiyear, or similar types of long-range work plans and schedules for in-service or contracted work.
