Summary

As a Lead Extramural Support Assistant (OA) you will provide high level administrative support and services to Center for Scientific Review (CSR) Division Directors, Review Branch Chiefs, and Scientific Review Officers (SROs) and on-the-job training to Extramural Support Assistants.

Duties

Perform specialized tasks requiring continuing responsibilities for projects, questions, and issues related to the grants functions. Serve as a point of contact and furnish explanations of the regulations and procedures pertaining to the grants function. Review completed work of other clerical staff to ensure that instructions have been followed. Provide logistical support and coordination for scientific conferences, workshops, and site visits as well as review and other advisory group meetings. Maintain data in local databases and prepare reports. Initiate and respond to email, telephone, and letter inquiries and provide requested materials. Use software functions to produce a wide range of documents that require complex formats such as graphics or tables within text, to edit and reformat electronic draft s, and to update or revise existing databases or spreadsheets.
