Summary
This position serves as a Property Manager in the Material Management Division of the Logistics Service in the VA Health Care System responsible for the inventory and lifecycle management of all non-expendable (NX) equipment in the assigned area(s).
Duties
- Major duties include but not limited to: Lifecycle Management: Responsible for the lifecycle management of non-expendable assets; conducts short, mid and long-term advanced planning; analyzes data; supports customers and acquisition personnel in developing requirements, utilizing mandatory sources and standardization sources; and corresponds with procurement officials and other stakeholders to resolve issues Inventory Management and Control: Responsible for the management and control of NX equipment assets; serves as the point of contact for the coordination of material support and resolution of logistic problems; conducts forecasting and quantitative analysis; conducts spot checks; and complies with special requirements for firearms, ammunition and sensitive equipment Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
