Summary

This position is located at the VA San Diego Healthcare System and provides administrative support services to the Chief of Admin/Accreditation Section, Engineering Service. The Administrative Support Assistant is responsible for administrative functions that support all Sections within the Engineering Service and is the central hub for engineering administration serving a vital role providing administrative assistance in purchasing, timekeeping, budget, and other administrative functions.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to the following: Conducts detailed analyses of complex function and work processes Obtains and analyzes data for maintenance and repair equipment requests Collects the necessary data to establish the facts and take or recommend action Serves as purchase card holder Serves as a timekeeper Prepares meeting minutes and agendas Prepares various types of correspondence Schedules meetings Conduct annual equipment inventory Presents findings and recommendations and negotiating solutions to disputed recommendations Provides ongoing training and assistance to new and incumbent personnel regarding office policies and procedures Work Schedule: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
