Duties

  • Develops and implements systems diagnostic and maintenance tools to ensure the availability and functionality of systems required to support organizational objectives.
  • Develops standards and criteria for assessing server performance, availability, capacity or configuration problems.
  • Develops procedures for responding to new threats to systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability.
  • Installs and configures commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications and software/hardware enhancement products.
  • Oversees the management of accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
  • Develops and presents training on the operation and maintenance of systems to the IT staff.

Education

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-12 grade level.
