Duties
- Under the direction of the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), perform technical tasks necessary to maintain the radioactive material (RAM) license.
- Assist in conducting the required semi-annual leak testing of sealed sources by preparing materials and documenting results under their direct supervision.
- Perform a first-level check of Quality Control (QC) records for all imaging modalities, including MRI, Fluoroscopy, and Computed Tomography, flagging any missing or incomplete items for the Radiation Safety Officer's official review.
- Perform a clerical check of all procedures requiring a Written Directive to identify any discrepancies between the prescribed and administered doses.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) by preparing meeting agendas, compiling data for the quarterly data calls.
- Provide oversight for the annual lead personal protective equipment (PPE) testing program by monitoring completion data and maintaining all corresponding records to ensure facility-wide compliance.
