Summary

This position will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph Clubs. This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hours, may work up to 40 hrs./wk. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a flexible (intermittent) category position are not eligible for benefits.

Duties

  • The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and assists the Club Manager in the economic and efficient operation of the club.
  • Monitors operations of a club or assigned area, normally during the absence of the manager and assistant manager and normally at night or on weekends.
  • Serves as a person in charge of the club during assigned shifts, maintaining the overall security of the club resources, including cash, controlled forms, consumable products, non-consumable products, fixtures, and furnishing.
  • Responsible for issuing, receipt, and control of cash boxes.
  • Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift.
  • Reviews the scheduled functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management.
  • Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that club rules, regulations, and established procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for conducting club card checks.
  • Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems.
  • Provides instruction and guidance to all club staff members on functions taking place during the shift.
  • Completes all closing checklists, including sanitation, fire, and security, and prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift.
  • Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift.
  • May be required to work as a window cashier.
  • When workflow exceeds scheduled manpower, this position will ensure that other personnel in the club are temporarily shifted to assist the understaffed area.
  • May operate government vehicle to include light truck, sedan, golf cart etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
