Summary
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Arts & Crafts Center on F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming. This position is considered Flexible. The position is guaranteed 0.00 hours but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some weekends. As a Flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits. The starting pay for this position is $18.43 per hour.
Duties
- PHYSICAL EFFORTS: Light to moderately heavy physical effort is required.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds or more is frequent.
- Frequent bending, standing, and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintains and operates the Multi-Craft Shop for patron use and provides embroidery, precision vinyl cutting and direct-to-film, and sign/sticker printing services to customers.
- Maintains and uses a variety of equipment used in creating custom gifts, shirts, etc. for customers.
- Assists customers with choice of materials, vinyl, design, colors, etc. Maintains stock of all material/supply needed to fulfill customer orders.
- Maintains resale inventory of clothing and bisque fired ceramics.
- Demonstrates proper techniques and follows safety procedures in equipment use.
- Registers patrons, collects appropriate fees, and issues materials, tools and equipment for DIY Multi-Craft use.
- Assists DIY customers to set up acrylic paints, ceramics, sewing room, and stained glass as needed.
- Maintains shop equipment and tools, and assures tools are kept in good working order.
- Responsible for keeping working area clean.
- Assists at Front Desk when needed.
- Accepts cash, checks, and credit cards for sales, prepares customer receipts, completes cashier reports, makes deposits and operates cash registers, adding machines, calculators, credit card terminal and computer.
- Accomplishes closing checklist procedures and secures facility at close of business day.
- Performs other related duties.
