Summary
This position is located at the Recycling Center which is a part of the Fort Benning Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR). Incentives and Bonuses Incentives and bonuses will not be paid.
Duties
- Follows established procedures in receiving, checking, and sorting and classifying recyclable materials based on industry standards of characteristics such as weight, texture, color, and hardness.
- Work is usually performed either in a warehouse or property recycle facility.
- Performs the work of receiving, separating, and sorting a variety of recycle materials and sorts basic categories of common recyclable materials (i.e. paper, plastic, metal).
- Operates paper and plastic bailer and low and high torque shredder.
- Also operates a variety of forklifts capable of lifting loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds to move, load, unload, stack, or un-stack various recycle materials.
