Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and supervise all clinical and administrative functions of the Dietary and Nutrition Department. A Real Id will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Duties

  • Plan, organize, and direct the operations of the Dietary and Nutrition Department to meet patient care needs and organizational goals.
  • Assign work to approximately 20 subordinate employees based on priorities and individual capabilities.
  • Document nutritional assessments, patient education, discharge plans, and referral information in the patient's medical record.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to medical and allied health staff on dietetic management and emerging dietary treatment approaches.
  • Implement change in operations, methods, and procedures to resolve operational problems and improve service delivery.
