Health Technician (Occupational Health)

Summary

About the Position: Incumbent serves as a Health Technician (Occupational Health) within a naval branch health clinic. Responsible for providing comprehensive occupational health services to eligible beneficiaries in the area of responsibility (AOR) of the MTF. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

• Conducts patient screenings to obtain and review medical and/or occupational history.
• Performs various screenings, such as vision, vital signs, spirometry, audiometry, and electrocardiograms.
• Evaluates patients for referral to nurse or physician.
• Verifies and orders all indicated laboratory studies, x-rays, immunizations, and other ancillary tests as appropriate.
• Facilitates the safe and effective operation of medical equipment and contributes to a safe working environment.

Education
