Summary
The selected applicant will serve as Facility Service Assistant for Facility Management Service (FMS), specifically in the “Work Order” section of the Maintenance and Repair section of FMS. They will assist the service and its customers with effective, responsive and efficient service in response to repair requests for maintenance and repair.
Duties
- Major Duties include but are not limited to: Initiates, tracks, and processes maintenance and repair work orders and related contract actions.
- Prepares contract modifications and submits request to contracting officials as required.
- Monitors contractor performance and supports quality assurance.
- Reviews of maintenance services.
- Establishes and adjusts work priorities and helps resolve scheduling conflicts or workload issues.
- Tracks, updates and compiles preventative maintenance work orders on a reoccurring monthly basis.
- Prepares meeting minutes, summaries, and documentation for maintenance and repair section meetings.
- Enters, retrieves, and maintains operational data in automated systems.
- Generates routine and ad hoc reports on work order status, equipment, and maintenance activities Maintains inventory control, records and updates, key assignment and key tracking systems.
- The processes employee clearance actions and ensures proper return and accountability of facility keys.
- Coordinates with customers, staff, and support services.
- (including security police as needed) for access requests.
- Provides system support and basic training to end users on maintenance, tracking tools and databases.
- Uses Microsoft Office tools to compile data, reports, and presentations.
- Applies basic inventory and cost principles to assist in evaluating equipment life cycle versus replacement decisions Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
