Duties

  • Manages the care of patient with complex and multifaceted medical and surgical needs.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for high-risk patients.
  • Ensures documentation is thorough, accurate, and meets regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Provides leadership within the unit, mentoring junior nursing staff and serving as a resource for complex clinical situations.
  • Administers and monitors the use of therapeutic agents (medications) and pain-reliving drugs including narcotics and antibiotics, familiar with correct dosages and potential side effects.
