THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1232P02 and is part of the KY DOL, National Guard. **Effective start dates of selected candidate will be determined based on available authorizations and funding.**
Duties
- As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-0346-11, you will serve as an advisor to the Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist on all Combat Service Support (CSS) Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs.
- Exercise knowledge and oversight for all matters pertaining to the fielding and operation of Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs.
- Identify funding requirements to support SASMO operations, justify and submits budget requirements for State operating budget, and execute funds received.
- Serve as a Systems Administrator for all Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs and as the technical expert within the state/territory responsible for providing technical and functional guidance for serviced Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs.
- Evaluate, determine, and initiate corrective action to recover or restore data and return the database(s) to operational status.
- Resolve issues and problems concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs administrative and systemic work operations.
- Develop and establish programs for administering the receipt, review, validation, distribution, and implementation of all CSS software received in the State, ensuring proper installation, testing and evaluation.
- Analyze requirements, establish programs/procedures ensuring effective coordination on CSS automation hardware systems and peripherals pertaining to the receipt, distribution, installation, and life cycle management of devices that are directed to be managed at unit/state level.
- Conduct training as required.
- Coordinate with the Deputy Chief of Staff Information Management (DCSIM) on identifying, developing, establishing, and maintaining CSS systems interfaces with and/or CSS utilization of the Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS) as appropriate.
- Advise the Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist of issues and concerns.

Requirements
Military Grades: SFC(E7)-CPT(O3) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard. You must be assigned to a compatible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical.
May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must obtain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is located on a tobacco free facility. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
