Summary

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of budget execution, professional accounting theories and policies. The incumbent will work developing financial plans/ budgeting, interpreting and advising on apportionments policies, rules, regulations and procedures. I addition, will have prior leadership experience advising on execution issues, on implementing budget regulations and leading a diverse workforce. In this position you will be working with the Office of the Chief Financial Officer.

Duties

  • What will I do in this position if hired?
  • In this position, you will serve as Supervisory Budget Analyst responsible for budget execution, interpreting policies, providing guidance, and reporting on the use of the agency's funds from multiple appropriations.
  • Typical assignments include: Applying knowledge of budget execution and federal financial management practices and procedures including apportionments, professional accounting theories, principles, and standards.
  • Performing financial forecasting, analysis/reporting and guiding management on proposed programs, explains budget limitations and making sound decisions resolving budget issues Overseeing budgetary accounting transactions and budget execution functions including apportionment development, allotments and reimbursements.
  • Supervising Program/ Branch's staff, reviewing work's final product for approval and resolving problems reported by Budget Analyst and leaders.
