Duties
- SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supply Management Specialist in a developmental capacity.
- This is a developmental position leading to the next position of a Supply Management Specialist, GS-2003-11.
- Duties and responsibilities of the position are essentially the same as that of the full-performance PD with the exception of additional training, supervision, guidance, and direction necessary until incumbent attains the full-performance level of experience.
- As level of knowledge and experience increases, level of supervision will decrease accordingly.
- Incumbent may be promoted to next higher grade without further competition after completion of minimum TIG (Time-in-Grade) requirement, completion of all training as indicated by manager, with recommendation of the supervisor, provided the full-performance position remains as a valid position.

- Performs developmental assignments of moderately difficult and complex nature consisting of well-precedented tasks designed to orient the employee in the application of supply programs and activities.
- Carries out special projects and participates in special initiatives and studies.
- Prepares written correspondence and other documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
