Summary
The purpose of this position is to augment the regular laboratory work force by performing routine Phlebotomy duties. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Duties
- Performs phlebotomy duties, which include age specific patient assessment for the purposes of drawing blood specimens from patients of all age group.
- Performs blood collection procedures by venipuncture.
- Properly prepare specimens for transportation to a reference laboratory.
- Organizes and maintains a system for filing records, charts correspondence, reports other information that is necessary for the laboratory operation.
