Duties
- Operate motor vehicles to include passenger buses; passenger vans; pick-up trucks; sedans; stake and platform trucks; 2- and 5-ton trucks; and special purpose vehicles such as parking lot shuttles.
- Make operational inspections of vehicles for loose parts, damaged or worn ties, proper air tire pressure, adequate fuel supply, radiator fuel level, proper oil level, batter condition, and similar items.
- Perform operator maintenance and complete vehicle operation records and logs in accordance with established directives.
- Maneuver the vehicle in and out of constricted areas including narrow city streets on and near the post and congested hospital and clinic parking lots.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks using proper procedures for loading, protection of materials and safety required by the type and quantity of items being transported.
